Take Your Thoughts Captive

Take Your Thoughts Captive

All the chaos in the world right now caused me, and probably a lot of you, to be in a state of high stress.
I couldn't breathe, my body was in a state of intense tension, my mind, well it was going to the very extremes of anything was possible. Almost as if everyone is a zombie, and I have to hide in my house. Zombie apocalypse! Well, it felt that way.

The fear of the unknown of the situation and my uncontrolled thoughts were getting the best of me.
But the moment I took those thoughts captive and decided not to let them get the best of me, I was instantly changed and felt okay.
I also took a few deep breaths and decided to grab my boyfriend and take a walk in nature, where not a ton of people were.

Have you tried breathing deep? Submitting and accepting all that is can be beneficial in times like this. Let the logical side of the brain instead of the emotional, out of control thoughts, take control?

I made a healthy meal for us when we returned from our hike in sunshine and nature, to nourish our stressed bodies. I also decided to keep up with my regular workout program and do the workout for that day. It felt great! I put on some music that soothed my soul and got to sweating in my living room.
I cried as I worked out caused by all the stress of those first couple days. It was a panic mode of my mind, body, and soul.

So we're self quarantined in our home now, my job has shut down, we have an adequate amount of food to last a little bit, and we have each other.

So my point of writing this is to help us all stay calm. Are you stressed to the max about all that's happening? There is a different perspective. What could that mean for you? Maybe you are fearful of money and or getting sick. How are you going to feed your family? Check out the resources in your area for help. Food delivery/ some grocery stores are delivering. Facebook has been a decent resource for updated news and community resources.

Stuck inside? Do that thing you've been wanting to around the house, get creative, practice meditation, do an online yoga class, read a book, cook healthy meals, play that game, work on your blog!!

Stay calm, everyone! This situation will get better. Take a few deep breaths. Eat whole real food as much as possible to help feed and nourish your body and drink lots of water. Move your body in the way you need that's right for you. And remember to love one another. Make love, not war. Let's heal our worried minds with a bit of hope. Reach out to your friends and family to encourage and uplift one another. We'll get through this time stronger together. Be well, friends!

Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

Hold on!
