Homemade Simple Salsa

With fewer grocery runs around here, I decided to try making my own salsa. My friend has raved about her salsa recipe she food preps for herself on the regular, so I reached out and asked for it. Bonus, I had all the ingredients around and you probably will too.

Homemade Simple Salsa

Ingredients:

2 cans diced tomatoes (I prefer the fire-roasted ones) *

1/2 red onion (medium-sized)

2 - 3 garlic cloves

1/2 bell pepper, I like red

Large pinch of cilantro

1/2 - 1 jalapeno (depending on how spicy you like it)

2 tbsp Olive oil (or whatever oil you have on hand

Whatever spices you like (salt, pepper, cumin)

2 to 3 limes juiced (depending on how juicy they are)

Directions:

Throw it all in a blender or food processor and pulse until combined.

Store in the refrigerator.

(Makes about a quart)

*I used one can of fire-roasted diced tomatoes and one can with chopped cilantro, cause I didn't have cilantro.

Thanks, Tori for sharing your recipe with me. Enjoy!!

I put some salsa on my salad.
