Coffee Face Scrub

Coffee Face Scrub

Who doesn't like a good face scrub? I wanted to make a simple yet amazing scrub for my face. I decided to scroll around on Pinterest for ideas. I was inspired by all the ideas I found.

I came up with this coffee scrub from a couple different ideas. So I just went with it and made it with three ingredients I had on hand: coffee grounds, honey, and coconut oil.

The caffeine in coffee grounds is thought to increase circulation & possibly reduce the appearance of cellulite. The exfoliating properties will certainly make your skin soft and smooth.

Enzymes in raw honey clarify skin and keep pores clear and clean. Honey prevents bacterial buildup that can lead to skin imbalances and is antifungal.  Both honey and coconut oil have antibacterial properties.

Coconut oil is an excellent skin moisturizer and can be used as a makeup remover.

I didn't measure any of this out, cause that's not me. The first time I tried it out, oh my goodness, my face felt like a baby's bottom, so soft. Well you get the point. You have to try this scrub! It seems to have magical properties. (These are a rough estimate of measurement. If it seems like it needs more grounds, use a little more, more honey or less coconut oil. The consistency should be gooey and thick like a paste, but not too runny )

Coffee Face Scrub
  • Coffee Grounds (2 tbsp.)
  • Raw Honey (1 tbsp.)
  • Coconut Oil (1 tbsp.)

Mix all together until it's an even gooey consistency and spread evenly on your face and neck. Heck, you could probably use it on your whole body.

It does get a little messy but it's so worth it. Leave it on for a couple minutes, then wipe it off with a paper towel. I stored the rest in a container and leave it on the counter in the bathroom.

One caution: Don't rinse coconut oil down the drain! It solidifies when cold and over time, will clog the drain. Just FYI.

Enjoy the softness. You could even follow up with the Anti-Aging Face Serum

Let me know what you think!

Honey beees!
