Ok, so these aren't just like fig newtons but they are pretty close. I liked fig newtons a lot when I was a kid. I googled fig newton ingredients and, oh boy, that list of high fructose corn syrup, highly processed, with too many artificial flavors to pronounce. Yeah, I'll pass on those.
Have you heard of the Fooducate app. It's pretty cool. It tells you what ingredients it contains, goods and bads, about most any packaged foods and then scores that food. Fig newtons scored a C+. Check it out for yourself here.

Sunflower seeds (also in these bites) are full of lots of good stuff too, like zinc and B vitamins, which help fight against stress. Who doesn't need that in this world we live in.

Directions:
Throw everything in a food processor. Blend until everything is mixed well. Unplug, before you stick a spoon in there. Make into balls. I made about 16 balls in my batch. Store in the fridge for about a week, if they last that long.
Enjoy!
